Excerpt
The Harare meeting was one of a series of regional consultations held in preparation for a WHO global consultation on adolescent-friendly health services which took place in Geneva on March 7-9 2001. These activities would not have been possible without financial funding from UNAIDS. Acknowledgements are due to Peju Olukoya and Jane derguson, (Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development (CAH) WHO), Jobi Makinwa (WHO consultant) and Kristin Nelson (Tulane University) for the organization and management of this meeting. and, to Nicola Bull (UNICEF) Robert Thomson (CAH) and Kristina Wimberley (UNICEF) for its facilitation. A measure of gratitude is owed to colleagues in the WHO Regional Office for Africa: Ebrahim M Samba, Bonifade Nasah, Arabang Maruping, and Irene Moyo (WHO consultant). I Thanks are also due to Asmita Naik for writing the report of the meeting, to Tony Waddell for editing the resulting three documents, and to Belbran Associates for all cover designs and layouts.
