Preface: This paper is the first supplement to the original set of critically evaluated kinetic and photochemical rate parameters for atmospheric chemistry, published by the CODATA Task Group on Chemical Kinetics in 1980 [l]. At the present rate of publication of experimental laboratory data on the rates of elementary atmospheric reactions, we estimate that Supplements to the Evaluation are required at approximately two-year intervals.
Abstract: Construction equipment is typically massive and operated manually with minimal use of sensors or computers for measurement or control. Research in the Intelligent Systems and Structures Divisions at the National Institute of Standards and Technology has explored innovative ways to use sensors, computers, and light-weight, tensioned, cable machines for heavy manufacturing and construction tasks such as lift and position of heavy loads and manipulation of tools a...
Excerpt: Click on the Update Edit Report button to display a report reflecting any corrections, which need to be made to the SF-279 to pass, edit checks. If errors are listed, continue to make corrections and click on the Update Edit Report button until the message reads, ?No errors found! SF 279 passes edit checks.? Click on the Print 279 button and then click on the button. The SF279 will print to the Windows printer. Include a hard copy of the completed error-free SF ...
Executive Summary: Our Nation?s critical infrastructures are composed of public and private institutions the sectors of agriculture, food, water, public health, emergency services, government, defense industrial base, information and telecommunications, energy, transportation, banking and finance, chemicals and hazardous materials, postal and shipping. Cyberspace is their nervous system?the control system of our country. Cyberspace is composed of hundreds of thousands of...
Introduction: Accurate thermochemical properties are desirable for the development of techniques for synthesis of the oxygen fluorides and for their use in fluorination procedures.
Introduction: The principal objective of this work is to evaluate and publish the data for all the thermodynamic functions of an important mineral, MgO or periclase, with a temperature range of 300 to 2000 K, and with a compression range. It is well known that the computations of thermodynamic functions (entropy, for example) require knowledge of the thermal expansibility a and compressibility K as well as the specific heat. The pressure (or volume) and temperature varia...
Introduction: A number of experimental and theoretical investigations of collision processes involving hydrogen molecules and molecular ions in electron impact have been and are still being performed extensively because they are of the most fundamental importance in electron-molecule collisions. Indeed, understanding of electron-molecule collision processes is requisite in many applications such as chemistry, astrophysics, astrochemistry, plasma fusion research, and plas...
Introduction: This paper presents graphical and tabulated data and the associated bibliography for cross sections for elastic, excitation, and ionization collisions of N', N:, N, and N, in N2 and for Ar+, Ar?, and Ar in Ar for laboratory energies from 0.1 eV to 10 keV. Ion transport and reaction coefficients calculated from these cross sections are compared with available experimental data and are tabulated. Thc rcsults presented here are a continuation of a similar comp...

Foreword: (This foreword is not part of American National Standard X3. -199 .) This AT Attachment with Packet Interface Extension (ATA/ATAPI-4) standard is designed to maintain a high degree of compatibility with the AT Attachment-3 Interface (ATA-3) standard and the packet command feature set implemented by devices commonly known as ATAPI devices while providing the advantages of additional features and functions. This standard was developed by the ATA ad hoc working gr...
